Class Description – Throwing II

We're don't yet have another Throwing II scheduled. Another good option is our Wheel-Throwing for All Levels.

Do you have basic throwing skills that you want to continue to work on?

Have you been through an introductory class and now want to try some new things? If you can center and know how to throw cylinders, bowls, and other basic shapes, then this class is the next step. Throwing II will introduce new skills such as lids, spouts, plates, and throwing in sections. If you're interested in trying you hand at jars, teapots, or just to make things a little taller, then this is the class for you.

Students enrolling for this class should have completed Throwing I or an introductory class elsewhere. Students must know how to center before enrolling in Throwing II.

Students in this class must be at least 16 years old.

What's it cost? What's the fee include?

A six-week class session costs $150.00 per student. Members of the SVAC and SAAC receive a 10% discount.

The $150 class fee includes 6 weeks of instruction, clay, use of studio tools, and firing credit. (Firing credit is limited. You'll be able to bisque some of your pieces, and glaze fire up to a half-shelf of work. Trust us-- that's enough. If you want to fire more, you'll be able to pay extra for it.)
