Make Waynesboro Clay studio opened in 2017. Our facilities have grown to include a handbuilding classroom, wheel-throwing classroom, glaze room, glaze mixing lab, and two additional workrooms for members. Our equipment includes electric kilns, raku kilns, clay mixer, pugger, gas kiln, about fourteen wheels, slab rollers, and extruders.

We believe that there is never-ending room for growth in ceramics, and we welcome everyone from beginners to occasional hobbyists and experienced potters to be part of our community. |
Jake Johnson, Studio Owner
The studio is operated by professional ceramic artist, Jake Johnson. Jake is an accomplished potter who works out of Make Waynesboro Clay Studio, as well as at a small home studio. He sells his work through art fairs, galleries, and an online shop. Jake has been working in ceramics since 2000. He earned an MFA in ceramics from Penn State, a top-ten clay program, and he has taught university classes and workshops. His work is in galleries and collections across the country, and has been included in more than 50 juried and invitational exhibitions. Erinn Paris, Studio Manager
Erinn had been teaching at the studio for awhile when she joined the team as studio manager in 2022. Previously, Erinn had a successful career working in and owning a bakery and restaurant. She now teaches several classes per week at the studio and generally keeps things running. She sells her work at art fairs and events around the valley. |
